Effective October 7, 2026 · Last updated October 7, 2026 · Version 1.0
Treat.Me is for adults. The Treat.Me! app and treat.me have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), and we act on every report of a minor on the platform or of anyone endangering one.
These standards describe what is prohibited, how to report a concern, what Treat.Me does with a report, and who to contact. They apply alongside our Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and our User Guidelines and Safety Tips.
1. Adults Only
- You must be 18 or older to create an account. Sign-up asks for your date of birth and a verification photo.
- An account that belongs to a minor is removed as soon as we learn of it, and the person who created it is not allowed back.
- Meetups happen in public venues that take Treat.Me orders, never in private settings arranged through the app.
2. Prohibited Without Exception
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any sexual depiction of a minor, whether real or generated.
- Grooming, sexual solicitation, or sexualised conversation involving a minor, or anyone presenting as one.
- Requesting, sharing, or linking to sexual content of minors, on or off Treat.Me.
- Using Treat.Me to arrange contact with a minor for any purpose.
3. How to Report a Concern
3.1 In the Treat.Me! App
- Open the person's profile or your conversation with them and choose Report.
- Pick Underage, then the closest match: looks underage, says they are a minor, or age-inappropriate behaviour. Any other reason works too; add what you saw.
- Send it. The person you reported is never told who reported them.
You can also block the person from the same menu, and cancel any meetup with them from the event screen.
3.2 Without the App
Email support@treat.me with the subject Child safety report. Include the name shown on the profile and, if you have it, a screenshot. Reports from people who do not use Treat.Me are handled the same way.
3.3 If a Child Is in Immediate Danger
Call your local emergency number first. In the United States you can also report child sexual exploitation directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at report.cybertip.org.
4. What Happens to a Report
- A member of the Treat.Me team reviews every child-safety report. Reports in this category are reviewed first.
- Confirmed content is removed and the account is permanently closed. Identifiers from a closed account stay blocked so it cannot be recreated.
- We preserve the report and the related account records, and we report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline as United States law requires, and to the relevant authorities elsewhere.
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests that follow a lawful process.
- We never notify the reported person of the reporter's identity.
5. Child Safety Point of Contact
Questions about these standards, our CSAE prevention practices, or a report go to support@treat.me, which reaches a named member of the Treat.Me team who is able to speak to them.
Treat.Me may update these standards as the product, safety tools, and legal requirements evolve. The version and dates at the top of this page identify the edition you are reading.
